RMJM Arta Tehran has been appointed by the Cultural Institute of Bonyad Museum as architectural consultant for the Iran Historical Car Museum. Also known as the National Car Museum of Iran, the museum is situated approximately 20km west of the capital city, Tehran.
It currently houses one of the largest and most valuable car collections in the region, compromising sports cars, limousines, motorcycles and carriages owned by the last Shah of the Pahlavi Dynasty, Mohammad Reza Shah. Arta Rostami Ravari, Managing Director and Head of Design at RMJM Arta Tehran, said: “We are really pleased with being appointed by the Cultural Institute of Bonyad Museum to develop the Iranian Historical Car Museum. The recent approach of Bonyad towards the revitalisation of the Car Museum will benefit the whole area adding culture and history to the industrial zone. We hope this will be the start of new and fruitful collaboration with our client.” This project marks a very successful year for RMJM who, while celebrating their 60th anniversary, can now celebrate their first project in Iran.
