Maserati and Giorgetti Present New Vision at Milan Design Week

An electric SUV and interior collection showcase shared values through Italian design precision.

Maserati and Giorgetti stepped into Milan Design Week 2025 with a project that brings their distinct crafts into direct conversation. The collaboration features a one-off Grecale Folgore SUV and a new interior collection, each shaped through a shared focus on precision, material choice, and forward-facing design. Maserati, long known for performance engineering, and Giorgetti, a name synonymous with Italian furniture design, now channel their separate strengths into a unified creative push.

Common Ground, Shared Direction

This partnership reflects more than surface aesthetics, it’s built on mutual standards for design discipline and a desire to offer experiences that are both refined and rare. Each brand brings its own design legacy: Maserati through innovation in automotive performance, and Giorgetti through form-driven, tactile interiors. Together, they created a set of ideas that explore comfort, movement, and modernity. At the center stands the Grecale Folgore, Maserati’s fully electric SUV, customized through the brand’s Fuoriserie program. Alongside it, Giorgetti’s collection draws cues from wind and sea, using movement as metaphor.

For Maserati CEO Santo Ficili, the collaboration reflects a deeper intent to lead in both luxury and design culture. “This partnership is a refined example of elegance and excellence, present in every aspect of engineering and design,” Ficili explained. It also fits within Maserati’s broader direction, where design identity and performance now sit side by side.

For Giorgetti, this moment represents both continuity and challenge. CEO Giovanni del Vecchio sees the collaboration as a move that reinforces the company’s identity while leaning into experimentation. “This partnership expresses the true identities of both Giorgetti and Maserati,” he said, describing it as a way to remain relevant while respecting the company’s long history.

References Rooted in Myth and Motion

The Giorgetti Maserati Edition interior collection finds inspiration in Neptune’s Trident, a recurring symbol in Maserati’s design language. Drawing from mythology and the natural elements that have shaped Maserati’s naming traditions, such as the Grecale wind, the pieces suggest fluidity and transformation. The collection uses names drawn from sea nymphs and evokes the rhythm of waves, connecting natural energy with physical form.

Performance Meets Living Space

The Grecale Folgore Giorgetti Edition demonstrates Maserati’s approach to electric mobility with added layers of design complexity. Its exterior features a unique color finish, while its cabin reimagines vehicle interiors as lived-in spaces. Giorgetti contributed fine fabrics and leathers used in the home collection to reinforce that continuity. Maserati describes the SUV as “rolling tailoring,” combining structure with softness.

Creative Direction with Shared Language

The project took shape under the guidance of Giorgetti’s Giancarlo Bosio and Maserati’s Klaus Busse. Their collaboration allowed both teams to explore a visual and tactile dialogue between furniture and vehicles. Without straying from function, they pursued a design language focused on texture, movement, and spatial awareness. The goal wasn’t to replicate one world in the other but to build a design vocabulary that works across both.

Milan will host the debut of both projects on April 7th. Giorgetti will offer a preview of the collection at its Spiga showroom, while Maserati presents the Grecale Folgore Giorgetti Edition at its city space. Beginning April 8th.
