Durat, a pioneer in sustainable solid surface materials, returns to Milano Design Week with an innovative installation titled “PORTA DEI COLORI.” Conceptualized and designed by renowned Finnish designer Linda Bergroth, this installation celebrates the convergence of circular economy principles, creativity, and aesthetic. Located at Alcova within the historic Villa Bagatti Valsecchi, the installation offers a bold and sustainable artistic expression.
“PORTA DEI COLORI” showcases a symphony of vibrant colors and sleek forms. Abstract yet architectural, the installation features geometric elements that integrate with the environment. Designed to evoke a sense of emergence from the material, the installation highlights Durat’s commitment to sustainability and innovative design.
The installation, situated amidst the columns of Milan’s Lazzaretto, juxtaposes Durat benches in saturated hues throughout the park, guiding visitors to the central installation. Bergroth’s vision, intertwined with Durat’s material expertise, creates a compelling narrative that spans architecture and design, offering versatile and inspiring solutions.
With over 300 colors and original grit effects, Durat’s materials offer endless possibilities for diverse applications, from public spaces to domestic environments. The debut of Durat Plus, a new solid surface material incorporating recycled PET resin and solid surface, marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards responsible innovation. As a pioneer in the circular economy, Durat aims to transform waste into beauty, inspiring architects and designers to embrace ethical and responsible design practices.
