Poroda House by MAKHNO Studio, is a haven for a busy, multifaceted family whose daily life oscillates between public engagements and private moments. The challenge was to create a space that not only suits their status as media personalities, but also caters to their roles as parents and creative individuals. The design needed to harmonize these diverse aspects under one roof, ensuring each space within the home was both functional and symbolic.
The architectural blueprint of Poroda House is carefully structured. The ground floor serves as the heart of the house with a living room connected to an open kitchen, alongside a cinema room for family entertainment, a practical bathroom, and essential technical rooms. The layout ascends to the second floor which houses the master bedroom complete with a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom, a study, a children’s room, a guest room, and an additional dressing area, creating a private retreat for each family member.
Guests stepping into Poroda House are greeted by an elegantly appointed hallway, featuring a porcelain stoneware floor that leads to a mirror and a striking stone countertop resting on sleek metal supports. This entryway sets the tone for the sophisticated and durable design elements that echo throughout the residence.
The ground floor is divided into two zones. The kitchen area boasts high-quality porcelain tiles and features a custom-designed white stone dining table surrounded by designer chairs, crowned by a majestic KHMARA lamp. Adjacent to this, the living room is delineated by a porcelain stoneware partition with a bio fireplace. This area is complemented by soft, rounded furniture and subtle panel moldings with backlighting, invoking the charm of a “golden” era yet in a modern minimalist setting.
Each personal space within Poroda House is crafted with a distinct function and aesthetic. The cinema room offers a fully immersive viewing experience with state-of-the-art soundproofing and plush seating. The study is designed to inspire with its mountainous wall décor and expansive window, while the kids’ room includes playful elements like an electric rocking chair and a TV set against a backlit panel. The master bedroom is a luxurious enclave divided into a sleeping area, a makeup area, and a spa-like bathroom featuring smart glass and exquisite tiling.
Throughout Poroda House, the finishes speak to a theme of modern classics. From the custom furniture pieces and artistic plaster to the copper-plated fixtures and specialized stonework, every detail contributes to a narrative of refined elegance blended with contemporary minimalism.
