A project by London based McAdam Architects designed in collaboration with Russian practice Ginzburg Architects is shortlisted in a competition for the design of Sputnik. This will be a 40,000 sqm development constructed in a Black Sea resort Sochi, cost of the project is estimated at The £75m. The two 19 storey towers will serve as a new landmark for Sochi, overlooking the main harbour and a marina. As a mixed use development Sputnik will include retail and entertainment area while the towers will house 220 apartment units.
