Living Divani, renowned for its sleek furniture design, introduces Lorentz Sofa, a new modular sofa designed in collaboration with David Lopez Quincoces. Known for blending comfort with innovative aesthetics, the Lorentz sofa offers a lightweight appearance, seemingly floating within any space it inhabits. This thoughtful design reflects a balance between minimalism and function, allowing it to enhance a variety of environments.
According to Quincoces, “Lorentz is a sofa that is based on the concept of modularity. It is light, it seems to have the faculty to float in the air and can be considered a sibling of Kasbah.” This statement highlights the sofa’s architectural connection to Living Divani’s previous design, Kasbah, while emphasizing Lorentz’s own distinct identity.
Quincoces, born in Spain in 1980, built his design expertise through academic and professional ventures. He studied Art at the Complutense University of Madrid, followed by a Master’s in Interior Design at the Politecnico di Milano. Moving to Milan in 2005, Quincoces began his career working with acclaimed designer Piero Lissoni, gaining hands-on experience in creating refined interiors and architecture. His work with Lissoni covered an impressive range, including private residences, hotels, offices, and showrooms across Italy and abroad.
In 2007, Quincoces established his own studio, Quincoces-Dragò & Partners, with locations in both Milan and Madrid. His multidisciplinary practice spans architecture, industrial design, and graphics. Quincoces’s studio serves high-profile clients such as Lema, Trussardi, and Doctor Smood, underscoring his versatility and prominence in the design community.
