Poltrona Frau steps into 2025 with The Five Seasons, a collection that invites people to explore their homes through the rhythm of nature and their own emotional perspective. Introduced at the newly reimagined Milan flagship store during Milan Design Week, the concept moves through Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and a Fifth Season, shaped by memory, mood, and personal style. Each space, product, and collaboration reflects a refined focus on comfort, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.

A Concept Grounded in Seasons
At the center of the collection sits the Fifth Season. Inspired by the Japanese idea of ‘go-en,’ this concept goes beyond traditional categories to create something more intimate. Spring introduces calming neutrals; Summer embraces bold greens; Autumn glows in sage and terracotta; and Winter surrounds with deep grays and tactile materials. The Fifth Season, however, invites a pause, a space built not only from furnishings but from emotion and sensory connection.
CEO Nicola Coropulis describes the idea as a “symbol of transformation,” where nature and design shape a deeper connection with the self. Each season becomes a frame, allowing visitors to discover how their interiors can reflect not trends but feeling.

Product Highlights and Collaborations
Poltrona Frau marks the 60th anniversary of the Gio Ponti-designed Dezza armchair with a limited edition of just 60 pieces. The upholstery uses Pelle Frau ColorSphere leather printed with one of Ponti’s unpublished illustrations, featuring abstract hands and nods to numerology. Nearby, a continued collaboration with Fornasetti dresses the 1919 armchair and Isidoro trunk-bar in surreal motifs drawn from the “Ultime Notizie” pattern, where butterflies flutter across pages of fictional headlines.

Roberto Lazzeroni’s Fidelio Multimedia Cabinet now supports the Leica Cine 1 smart laser TV. With a new 280cm configuration, integrated compartments, and projector-ready structure, the cabinet connects entertainment with refined materials like mocha ash wood and Pelle Frau leather.

Sofas and Seating for Every Mood
The Blisscape sofa, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, embraces relaxed movement with its deep cushions and adjustable backrests. Inspired by Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day,” the design adapts to the present moment without compromising form. The Parka modular sofa, originally modeled after padded jackets, now adds curved elements and a pouf option. Meanwhile, the GranTorino line evolves with improvements in cushion retention and updated ergonomics.

Jean-Marie Massaud’s Archibald armchair gets a new fixed wooden base and a swivel version. His Downtown Lounge, adapted from the original office chair, includes new backrest angles and a headrest pillow. Poltrona Frau continues its exploration of lounge seating by giving every form a function, and every function a sense of ease.

The DressCove and the Duo
For the first time, Poltrona Frau introduces a full bedroom system. The DressCove Night System offers a modular wardrobe solution that creates both walk-in and freestanding closets. The design features support poles instead of walls, with options for lighting, drawers, and compartments tailored for watches, ties, shoes, or handbags.

The Duo Collection, co-designed with Ceccotti Collezioni, includes a bed with an arched headboard, nightstands, a chest of drawers, vanity table, and a sculptural valet stand shaped like a katana holder. Every piece uses rich materials like brushed brass, lacquered glass, and Calacatta marble, offering a tactile experience as much as a visual one.

New Directions in Texture and Color
Pelle Frau Soulful introduces deeper grains and new color options through the Impact Less tanning process, combining texture with a subtle sheen. The 2025 Textile Collection also debuts, featuring three new fabric families in updated color palettes designed to harmonize with the collection’s seasonal moods.
Lighting designer Six N. Five collaborates with Poltrona Frau for the first time, presenting two sculptural lamps, Foliage and Moonbeam, as well as the Memoria rug, which suggests water reflecting light. Sebastian Herkner’s Nymph lamp appears as a floor version, continuing his use of leather and glass.

The Five Seasons Experience
The Milan flagship store transforms into a sensory walk-through thanks to Studio Brigolin Baschera and stylist Simona Cremascoli. Visitors pass through large framed portals, mirrored ceilings, handwritten quotes, and paper scultographies by Daniele Papuli. From the lake-toned courtyards of Summer to the quiet blues of the Fifth Season’s frescoed rooms, the space reflects how personal environments can inspire calm, creativity, and connection.
Every zone of the flagship draws from nature and invites reinterpretation. This approach allows Poltrona Frau to not just show furniture, but to stage a living, breathing portrait of how a home can feel. With each room, the collection suggests a way of living that’s elegant, instinctive, and completely your own.
