With a neighboring lake at at the location the building itself enjoys a splendid view, the whole project was designed to apply to the National 3 Star Green Building Identification.
From the Architects:
The project is located in Guangfu town, Suzhou, at the conjunction of Fenghuang Road and Tashan East Road. The site is neighboring the Lake and enjoying a scenic view. The building complex is composed with a three story high cylinder and a 12 story high slim curved construction. The two buildings are connected through a two story high glassed lobby while the entire building bulk is based on a one meter high base, which forms a small square in front of the main entrance.
The long curved facade of the tower faces the Lake on its south and the Phoenix mountain on its north, meanwhile, a three story high podium is on the southwest of main building. Besides, the main entrance is placed on the south side where an open square is created between two buildings.
The facades of all buildings employ curtain wall with dark glasses and dark grey aluminum frames to create a simple, elegant and international appearance. The silver aluminum blinds installed on the facades can preserver the interior environment against direct solar radiation, more importantly, they also create a unique pattern of building facades.
The project is submitted to apply the National 3 Star Green Building Identification.
