Architizer has officially launched its 13th Annual A+Awards, honoring the best in global architecture and design for 2024. Michel Rojkind, founder of Rojkind Arquitectos, stresses the importance of this balance. “We want to create a dialogue about the direction of architecture. The question we always ask is, ‘Are we contributing to the solution or the problem?'” Rojkind’s perspective sets the tone for the A+Awards, where sustainability, social responsibility, and forward-thinking design take center stage.

This year’s awards recognize the growing need for architecture to respond to global issues like climate change while respecting local environments and traditions. The return of the Sustainability Awards highlights the industry’s shift towards eco-conscious design, with rigorous criteria established alongside green building experts. Categories focusing on adaptive reuse, renovation, and community revitalization underscore the role of architecture in both preserving and renewing urban spaces.
