An excellent project for a History Museum in Tripoli created by Jafar Tukan Architects, hopefully the project will eventually come to life for more images and architects description continue after the jump:
The main level Museum is design encourages and entices pedestrian interaction through the familiar alleyway architecture that weaves through various sections including a memorial of those who fought for Libya with names engraved on the walls of the gallery, a café, and a souvenir shop. The two main galleries on the ground floor flow into three second level halls that serve a wide variety of functions. The apex of experience lies on the third floor, where a gallery dedicated to modern Libya housed in a transparent volume surrounded with garden terraces embraces the exterior cityscape.
