The 2025 communication campaign, created by acclaimed New York artist and photographer Bill Durgin, places the human experience at the forefront. Titled “Thought for Humans,” the campaign features striking imagery of the human form intertwined with materials like wood, metal, and bioplastic, highlighting design’s role in everyday life.
“Great design enhances how we interact with the spaces around us,” says Durgin. The campaign’s tactile, evocative visuals aim to reconnect audiences with the essence of human-centered design.
Renowned multidisciplinary artist Robert Wilson will debut Mother, an installation inspired by Michelangelo’s Pietà Rondanini. Hosted at Milan’s historic Castello Sforzesco and curated by Franco Laera, this project merges light, sound, and movement with the iconic unfinished sculpture. Accompanied by Arvo Pärt’s haunting Stabat Mater, the installation offers a profound exploration of grief and transcendence.
Wilson’s return to Milan, following his acclaimed works at venues such as the Rotonda della Besana and Palazzo della Ragione, reinforces the city’s status as a global nexus for avant-garde art and design.
The biennial Euroluce exhibition reimagines the future of lighting design with a dynamic forum on April 10 and 11. This year’s theme emphasizes sustainability, technology, and creativity, featuring thought leaders like lighting designer Kaoru Mende, solar innovator Marjan van Aubel, and experiential artists DRIFT.
Workshops, round tables, and immersive installations will transform Euroluce into more than just a trade show—it becomes a laboratory for ideas that shape the built environment.
SaloneSatellite, the platform that has launched countless design careers, celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2025. To commemorate this milestone, the publication “Universo Satellite. 25 anni / years of SaloneSatellite” captures the event’s legacy through over 1,200 images and stories from emerging designers who have shaped contemporary design.
The 2025 edition extends its influence beyond Fiera Milano Rho, with installations and events scattered across Milan’s iconic landmarks. From immersive urban art experiences to workshops fostering creative dialogues, Salone del Mobile connects the city’s cultural heritage with cutting-edge design practices.
Maria Porro, President of Salone del Mobile.Milano, reflects on the event’s enduring impact: “The Salone is more than a trade fair—it is a cultural platform that fosters growth, dialogue, and innovation while celebrating Milan’s creative spirit.”
As Milan prepares to host the global design community, Salone del Mobile 2025 reaffirms its commitment to placing humanity at the center of architecture and design. This year’s edition invites architects, designers, and creatives to rethink how design can shape a more connected and meaningful world.
