CCD (Cheng Chung Design) has recently completed work on Le Jardin, located on the 4th Floor of Times Square Excellence, in Shenzhen, China. The project fuses international aesthetics with Eastern poetry to create a serene destination that is worlds away from the bustling city life of Shenzhen. The designers at CCD aimed to craft more than just a physical space; they aimed to curate an immersive lifestyle experience, and they’ve succeeded magnificently.
The name itself, Le Jardin, meaning “The Garden” in French, sets the tone for what awaits inside. The philosophy behind this exceptional establishment is summed up perfectly in a quote from Zhou Guoping’s book, “Everyone’s Way of Pilgrimage”: “Cherishing creates destiny, and destiny lies in cherishing.” It’s a message that underscores the importance of sincere connections and the value of every encounter in our journey through life.
Upon stepping inside Le Jardin, visitors are immediately transported to a realm of infinite beauty and tranquility. The atmosphere exudes an air of serenity, offering an ideal escape from the chaos of the outside world. Every detail of the interior design reflects the designers’ unique interpretation of life and aesthetics. The Mist Cigar Bar provides a cozy respite from the summer heat. Warm yellow lighting and soulful jazz music create a relaxing atmosphere. The slightly dimmed lighting and retro color scheme enhance the nostalgic ambiance, while the mellow cigars add to the leisurely and enjoyable experience.
The courtyard at Le Jardin exudes elegance, offering an ideal setting to relish a poetic lifestyle. The Floral Pavilion, resembling a suspended crystal box above the water, is light and translucent.
