Here we present the restaurant recently opened in Gandia (Spain) by Ozone group. As part of the leisure offer at the new center that includes cinemas, bowling, playground and gift shop and an ice cream shop.
Due to the source of the group is Hispabowling, the reference firm within bowling business in Spain, the main element in order to start designing was reusing the original bowling wood lanes from a restored bowling center
The challenge was creating an multi purpose restaurant with a different dessign able to link bowling and tradition using reclaimed materials and the existing elements in the venue.
Lane wood has been used to recover the most representative elements in the venue. To strengthen the link with the bowling spirit there were used lots of old worn out pins hanging from the ceiling. To highlight the presence of wood the whole room was painted in aged dark grey. Tables and seats are diverse. A lamp has been designed using galvanized old wash-basins to add an unexpected and funny touch to the place.
